Career Coaching

Work one-on-one with a professional career coach to achieve employment, career and personal goals. The coach is educated about the physical and cognitive challenges faced by persons with MS and can help you set goals such as:

  • Achieve focus and momentum
  • Take effective, focused actions immediately
  • Replace stress and effort with energy and flow
  • Achieve balance between work, family and MS fatigue

Coaching is available to persons living with MS who  have recently (within the last 30 days) lost employment, or are at risk of losing employment and are considering a career change because of MS. Contact Susan La Combe for details and to apply.

New Collaborative Partnership with Employment Resource

The National MS Society has partnered with Hire Disability Solutions, whose mission is to help people with disabilities obtain employment. Hire Disability Solutions seeks persons with MS and their caregivers to fill work-at-home positions. If interested, visit www.Hireds.com and click the Teletech icon. For a list of all employment opportunities currently available for candidates with disabilities, click the Featured Employers icons.

Consumer Employment Survey

The UT School of Social Work is conducting an online consumer employment survey for persons with disabilities. The survey's goals are to examine gaps in existing employment support services for people with disabilities and to identify ways that the system might be improved. To participate online, choose either English or Spanish.  If you prefer a hard copy survey, contact Dr. Streeter at 512-471-0543 or cstreeter@mail.utexas.edu.
