Become an MS Activist.

The Lone Star Chapter relentlessly advocates every day to advance community and state policies and programs that could impact the lives of people with MS. Through the efforts of the Chapter and its dedicated volunteers, many successes have been made possible in Texas such as funding for family caregiver support and a discounted rate program for the Texas Health Insurance Risk Pool.

As an MS activist, you can play an influential role in this process, keeping legislators informed and prepared to act. Legislators want to hear from their constituents. Our priorities come from our Government Relations Committee, a committee of advocacy volunteers, as well as support groups, information and referral requests, health care trends, State and Federal budgets, and most importantly, YOU!

We address issues in Texas and the Nation that are most important to people living with MS such as:

  • Affordable, Accessible Healthcare
  • Long Term Care Resources
  • Disability Rights
  • Increased MS Research
  • National Issues
