Entrepreneurial: Make Your Mark Your Way!
The National MS Society is mobilizing the talents and resources of people who want to do something about MS now. Part of this initiative involves breaking down barriers and creating opportunities so that everyone who wants to do something about MS can contribute in whatever capacity they are able. Some of the best ideas for awareness, service and fundraising come from outside the Society, so our goal is to support your entrepreneurial efforts and allow you to join the movement your way, including:
- MS Entrepreneurs: The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Lone Star Chapter has created a program to reward creative, innovative individuals who are passionate about developing new ways to improve the lives of Texans touched by multiple sclerosis. The generous support of Kanaly Trust made it possible for us to offer $60,000, through approved grant funds, to support new ideas and make it a reality in communities across Texas. - Community Events: Create your own movement by forming an event in your own backyard. Also referred to as third party events, community events are volunteer-led and supported to raise funds and awareness for the National MS Society. It can include anything from a bowling tournament to a garage sale. For details and an application, please contact your local office.
- Make Your Mark Kits: Utilize our online Make Your Mark Kit to spread awareness in your community. The online resource center includes downloadable logos, stickers, mini-posters, elevator speeches, presentations and videos to help you in your community awareness campaign. Use these items to make presentations at community organizations, to display in local businesses, or to customize for your own events.
