Annual Coordinated Election Period for Medicare Prescription Drug Plans for 2010 Runs November 15-December 31
For the majority of Medicare beneficiaries, November 15-December 31 is the only opportunity during the year to enroll in or change Medicare drug plans. Please take this time to review your current drug plan, as well as the available plan options, to make the best selection for your prescription needs. If you are currently enrolled in a Medicare drug plan and elect to do nothing before December 31, you will continue with the same plan for 2010. Please note that all drug plan participants will see some increase in out-of-pocket costs in 2010. Drug plans can also change the drugs that a plan covers, requirements for preauthorization, quantity limits, and more for 2010.
It is important to carefully review your Medicare prescription plan options before December 31. The National MS Society is here to help you do exactly this. For questions about Medicare prescription drug coverage and for assistance choosing the plan that works best for you, please call the National MS Society at (800) 344-4867 and select option 1 to speak to someone who can assist you.
