McKenzie Goodfellow

I will always be my daddy’s little girl.   I love this man more than anything else in the world, and while he is fighting this raging battle going on beneath the surface, I will always be right by his side throughout all of the struggles. His lifelong battle has inspired me in so many ways and has shaped me into who I am today. This disease has helped me realize how grateful I am for every second and to live life to the fullest. Now as I am about to start a new chapter in my life the National MS Society has made such an impact on my family, my dad and on me. It is so gracious, giving me the opportunity to go on and to further my education and to become all that I know I can become.

“What a work of art is mankind”, where there are people out there who are willing to give in order for another to be able to pursue their dreams. By getting this scholarship, I am unbelievably appreciative for everything. It only gives me hope in mankind. I strongly believe in the “pay-it-forward” theory and what the National MS Society is doing for millions of people, has inspired me to go out into the world, use my skills and knowledge to inspire other and then I will give my support to others who are fighting. With this scholarship, I will be able to gain knowledge and pursue my dreams.

I plan to attend Salt Lake Community College to start my education in the medical field. I plan to graduate there with my Associates degree in nursing.
