Gain Support and Make Friends

As a person with MS, we know that you continually face new challenges. It is important to have access to all of the latest information in research, assistive technology, symptom management, and healthy living – as well as to feel supported and to know that you are not alone.

The Utah Southern Idaho Chapter of the National MS Society has several different self-help groups and support groups that help provide valuable information and support in a friendly, comfortable environment. Self-help groups are made up of other people who can share similar experiences in dealing with MS symptoms and how it may impact everyday living. They are led by volunteers made up of people with MS who have received specific training from the National MS Society to facilitate these groups for optimal benefit to everyone involved. Support groups are similar; however, they are led by mental health professionals who are trained in facilitating groups.

Stay Connected

If you are interested in attending or leading a self-help group or support group, check out the list provided below for groups in your area, and call the contact person for more specific information on meeting times and places. Feel free to check out a few groups until you find the right fit for you!

We could use groups in Twin Falls, Idaho City, McCall, Salmon, Central Utah and many other places! To start a group-contact the chapter.
