Blue Ridge

The Blue Ridge Chapter represents over 3,000 people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 51 counties throughout the western half of Virginia. We deliver quality programs and host exciting events to raise money for MS research and program support ... all of which assists us with our mission to end the devastating effects of MS.

Seeking Nominations
The Board of Trustees of the Blue Ridge Chapter seeks nominations for the 2010 board. Chapter trustees set local goals and policies, and use their business and personal contacts to further the mission of the National MS Society. Candidates must have prior experience working with policy-making governing boards and committees, and must have access to resources needed by the chapter in fulfilling its goals. Desirable backgrounds include attorneys, corporate executives, financial and marketing professionals. For more information, please contact Fay Painter at fay.painter@nmss.org or call 434.971.8010.

Executive Internships Available
The Blue Ridge Chapter is seeking Executive Interns to work in the Charlottesville office 15 to 30 hours per week for ten weeks (September to December 2009). This non-traditional internship provides an opportunity to explore re-careering and to continue active learning during a time of unemployment. Interns may focus on community outreach to local companies, marketing and media, data management, or general administration. This is an unpaid internship. For more information, please contact Delton Hanson at delton.hanson@nmss.org or call 434.971.8010.
