1. Community yoga class in Charlottesville
Three new weekly yoga classes sponsored by a local community yoga program will begin the week of March 16th:
Mondays 12-1pm, Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm, Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm. These classes will be held at the Fry's Spring Beach Club, which is located near the University at 2512 Jefferson Park Avenue. The yoga room is off of the main ballroom. These classes are open to everyone in the community (even absolute beginners) and each class is only $5!
There will be three preview/fundraising classes held this Saturday, March 14, at the Mary Williams Senior Center. The center is located at 1512 E. Market Street in the Woolen Mills neighborhood, and you will need to bring your own mat. The suggested donation for these classes is $10 (though everyone is welcome to pay what they can) and all proceeds go towards funding equipment for the $5 classes that begin the week of March 16th. These three classes will be held 10-11am, 12-1pm, and 2-3pm on Saturday.
Remember, the Blue Ridge Chapter offers Wellness Scholarships to help defray the costs of recreation classes. For more info please contact the chapter office at 1-800-344-4867.
