Emotional health programs help support people with MS and their families in adapting and coping with the changes that living with multiple sclerosis may bring. The Chapter offers a variety of emotional support programs for people with MS and their families and care-partners.
>Social Connections and Support Programs
Social Connections and Support Programs bring people together who share a common life experience for support, education and mutual aid. Members share a belief that positive personal change can happen through individual effort with the support of others.
>Friendly Visitor Program
Opportunities exist for people with limited social interactions (such as those in long term care facilities or nursing homes) to receive visits from volunteers.
>Peer Support
Receive telephone based support from a trained volunteer with MS.
>MS Partner Counseling Program
Free telephone counseling available to 18+ family members of people with MS.
>Relationship Matters
Having a healthy relationship is hard work even in the best of times. MS can make it even harder. The Relationship Matters program exists to help couples minimize the impact of MS on their lives.
