2009 College Scholarships
This program awards scholarships to qualified and deserving students who have a parent with MS.

VAR-Matthew Harrel-1

 

 

 

MATTHEW HARRELL
The Arnie Snukals Scholarship
Award: $2,500

Matthew is a resident of Freeman, VA and a graduate of Lighthouse Christian Academy in Nashville, TN. He is listed in the National Society of H.S. Scholars and the Who’s Who Registry of Academic Excellence. He plans to attend Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC, as a pharmacy major. He works at CVS/Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. Matthew is the first in his family to attend college.

CARLY C. DEL BUONO
HealthSouth Scholarship

Award: $2,000

Carly is a resident of Fredericksburg, VA and a graduate of Spotsylvania H.S. She has applied to attend University of Mary Washington or Virginia Tech. Her major course of study is Psychology, with hopes of becoming a therapist. Carly participated in competition cheerleading, the Spanish National Honor Society , the National Honor Society and was the Boys Soccer Manager for her High School.

Chapter Scholarship
Award: $1,000

Chris is a resident of Richmond, VA and a graduate of Monacan High School. He has applied to attend Virginia Commonwealth University or Christopher Newport University. His major course of study will be Film (Cinema). He has participated in the Art Club, Wrestling Team and Crestwood Youth Group.

 

 

 

VAR-Katherine Habula

 

KATHERINE HARBULA
Special Chapter Recognition
Award: $1,000

Katherine is a resident of Midlothian, VA and a graduate of Midlothian H.S. She will be attending Virginia Tech with a full scholarship. Her major course of study is mathematic education. Katherine participated on the Junior Varsity Volleyball team, the National Honors Society/Mu Alpha Theta and is a Key Club Member. She would like to become a math teacher.
