The Hampton Roads Chapter’s loan closet has provided much-needed equipment to hundreds of people living with multiple sclerosis over the years.
The Hampton Roads Chapter, in conjunction with Rehab Health Care, offers a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Loan Closet in order to help those with MS maintain their independence.
Items such as canes, walkers, manual wheelchairs, and scooters are typically available; however, the closet frequently has additional items.
Loans from the Closet will be delivered to client’s homes and picked up upon completion of use. Arrangements may also be made to pick up Loan Closet items directly at Rehab Health Care.
Please note: In order to take advantage of this program, a prescription is needed from your neurologist or treating physician stating you have MS and that the piece of equipment being requested is authorized.
To check the availability of items, to check out a piece of equipment, or to donate a piece of equipment, please contact Robyn Hirsch, Programs and Services Director with the Hampton Roads Chapter, at 757-490-9627.
