Young adults with MS have a fun night out
At the Chapter’s “Bowling, Billiards and Buffet” event for young adults with MS, participants enjoyed a fun-filled evening of games, dinner and good conversation at Garage in Seattle. This was a great opportunity for people ages 18 – 35 to connect with others who have been working to balance friendships, career, college, personal time and a diagnosis of MS.
Good times were had by all! Kimberly of Mount Vernon explained that “My husband is on a couple of bowling leagues and I thought he would love to hang out in Seattle and go bowling. Plus it would give me a chance to reconnect with a few ladies I met at the Chapter’s Women’s Wellness Retreat on Bainbridge Island. I had so much fun, thank you so much for organizing this!”
Aaron of Seattle said “I thought it was nice to meet new people in my age group. It was nice to go to an event with people who also have MS without a speaker that would talk the whole time so you really don’t meet people in the room. It was nice in that way. That was a good change.”
And Michele of Seattle expressed that she “loved that it was so casual.” During the event she was introduced to the leader of the volunteer-led young adult’s networking group and exclaims that “it was great to get connected to Angie [the group leader]. I don't think I would have found out about it without this event.”
