O'Donnell Family MS Scholarship Fund

MS should never be a barrier to higher education. That philosophy gave birth to the O’Donnell Family MS Scholarship Fund and has enabled us to provide more scholarships in our state than all other National MS Society chapters combined.

We offer scholarships to those with MS, or to the children of people living with MS who are entering an accredited post-secondary school for the first time. Scholarships range between $1,500 and $3,000.

In 2009, 88 Washington students earned $252,000 from the Greater Washington Chapter. Recipients were selected based on academic performance, financial need, volunteer and extracurricular activities, and essays they wrote about the impact MS has had on their lives. If you are entering an accredited post-secondary school for the first time and have MS, or a parent living with MS, you may be eligible for a scholarship.

The O’Donnell Family MS Scholarship Fund is synonymous with the National MS Society Scholarship Program, so only one application is required.

Support for the College Scholarship Program comes from foundations, special event fundraising and individual donors. If you are interested in giving to the O'Donnell Family MS Scholarship Fund, please contact Erica de Klerk to learn more about making a restricted donation.
