Relationship Matters
A Program for Couples Living with MS
When you know how to take charge as a couple, MS doesn’t have to dominate your relationship. Through a series of interactive courses, the Relationship Matters program helps couples learn and apply skills to deal with challenges related to multiple sclerosis.
Professional Counseling
To help couples adjust to the challenges of living with MS, professional counseling can be very beneficial. Through the Greater Washington Chapter you can gain access to a licensed mental health professional who is well-trained and knowledgeable about MS.
Dealing with MS in Your Important Relationships
MS affects you and the people who care about you. Learning how to deal with your MS in relationships with spouses or partners and children, dating partners, extended family, and caregivers is important to everyone’s well-being.
Support for Caregivers
Caring for someone with a chronic illness like MS can be deeply satisfying. Spouses and partners, family, and friends can be drawn more closely together by their shared concerns and collaborative efforts. The Chapter has resources available to help with these efforts.
Respite Care
