Kids' Journey Camp

Who We Are: The 2009 Kids' Journey Camp was a success! 38 campers between the ages of 8-12, all who have a parent or grandparent living with MS, traveled to Bainbridge Island for this annual weekend summer camp.

What We Did: Campers got to experience fun camp activities, including nature walks and education, team-buillding and group games, music and art activities, and participate in campfire skits. Kids also got the chance to learn about MS by experiencing some of the symptoms their parents might go through in the Experience MS Obstacle Course, followed by an education session.

Fun: View a slideshow of the camp experience  (may take a few minutes to download)

Learn: Learn about multiple sclerosis. View some of the materials used at camp:

Looking ahead for next year, we are exploring the possiblity of adding youth up to 15. If you have a child between the ages of 8-15, please email Crystal.Bourland@nmsswas.org to be notified for the 2010 Kids' Camp.
