The National MS Society-Wisconsin Chapter lost a dear friend and valued colleague when Terri Klabunde, a long-time staff member, passed away April 13, 2013 after suffering a brain aneurysm.
Terri joined the National MS Society in 2008, coming to the Chapter from GMR Marketing. In her role as Associate Vice President of Operations, she was responsible for logistics for Chapter events around the state. Those who were part of any of those activities from the MS Snowmobile Tour to Bike MS: Best Dam Bike Ride knew her as her co-workers did: the person who made sure everyone was safe and comfortable along the route, managing everything from event check-ins to coordinating support vehicle coverage to assisting with the overnight and finish line accommodations. She was extraordinary in her work, steadfast in all she did, always calm in the midst of any challenge, the voice of encouragement to all who knew her and a true advocate for people whose lives are impacted by multiple sclerosis.
In addition to her many colleagues who feel blessed to have known and worked side-by-side with her, Terri leaves behind her husband, Mark; children Jodi (Chris) Ashbrook and Scott Klabunde; new grandson, Aiden; parents Richard and Gladys Passow; siblings Richard (Jung), Linda, Debbie, the late Donna, Robert (Sue), David, Dawn, Jeff (Kristen) and Tami (Shawn); nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
The family has requested that memorials be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Wisconsin Chapter.
