Take Action

Become An MS Activist!

Many challenges can be addressed through positive and productive legislative change to make a difference for people living with Multiple Sclerosis. More than 10,000 Wisconsin residents live with the disease. That is one in 500 of our friends, neighbors and family members.

About the Wisconsin Chapter Advocacy Efforts…What we do:

The Wisconsin Chapter relentlessly advocates every day to advance community and state policies and programs that could impact the lives of people with MS. Through the efforts of the Chapter and its dedicated volunteers, many successes have been made possible in Wisconsin, such as funding for MS clients through our Make a Mark for MS Charitable Giving Tax Check-Off.

You, as an MS activist play an influential role in this process, keeping legislators informed and prepared to act. Legislators want to hear from their constituents. Our priorities come from Advocacy workshops, “Circles of Hope” support groups, information and referral requests, health care trends, State and Federal budgets, and most importantly, YOU!

We address issues in Wisconsin and the Nation that are most important to people living with MS such as:

  • Affordable Healthcare
  • Long Term Care
  • MS Research
  • National Issues

You can be an MS activist from your home, at the office, or in your community, and it won’t cost you anything but some time.

Change happens through MS Activism. As an MS Activist, you can:

  • Attend our annual “Legislative Affairs Day”
  • Build relationships with your legislators and keep them updated on MS issues
  • Share your personal story
  • Meet other MS activists in your community
  • Turn MS issues into state priority issues
  • Stay informed on healthcare policy
  • Pursue legislative progress for people living with MS
  • Boldly ask public officials for support
  • Move us closer to a world free of MS

Change is possible through MS Activism.
