The Colorado-Wyoming Chapter of the National MS Society hosts three Bike MS events each year. These Rides raise funds that support community-based programs and services as well as fund vital research to help create a world free of MS.
The 2012 Newmont Bike MS, presented by Great-West Life will be held June 30 and July 1. More than 3,000 cyclists, 600 volunteers, and countless supporters will enjoy majestic Colorado scenery while riding 145 miles from Front Range Community College in Westminster to Colorado State University in Fort Collins and back, collectively logging over 400,000 miles.
The Fort Collins Loop will lead cyclists on a 25 or 40 mile route around scenic Fort Collins on June 30, ending at CSU with the Two-Day riders.
In Wyoming, the Close Encounters Ride 2012 will take place on August 18 and 19. Each day begins and ends in Sundance, Wyoming, routing through the beautiful countryside of Northern Wyoming on Day One and the gorgeous Black Hills of South Dakota on Day Two.
Groups and individuals of all ages and abilities are invited to volunteers for these great events. Volunteers play a key role in the success of Bike MS events by ensuring the safety for our cyclists and supporters.
All volunteers receive:
