Bike MS: Valero 2009 Alamo Ride to the River presented by H-E-B
Register now for a two-day adventure from the Alamo City to New Braunfels and back. The Valero 2009 Alamo Ride to the River, presented by H-E-B is one of three Bike MS events in Texas and one of hundreds across the country.
Cyclists will roll out of the Alamodome in San Antonio at 8 a.m. on October 3. Participants will enjoy a ride past historic landmarks including the Alamo and through Fort Sam Houston, take a spin along smooth roads with picturesque country views through La Vernia, Seguin, Gruene and end at the new Overnight Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort in New Braunfels. (The Schlitterbahn Waterpark rides will not be open during the event weekend. This year's focus will be on the route and laying the foundation for excellent support and safety during the ride weekend. We will need your suggestions for making the 2010 ride better including your feedback on opening up the waterpark.)
Sunday, October 4 cyclists will depart at 8 a.m. from Schlitterbahn and loop back to the Alamodome for a Finish Line celebration.
