Celebrities, professional tennis players and tennis enthusiasts from around the country will join together for this exciting event. The day begins with junior and adult tennis clinics, followed by chances to "Beat the Pro," a Team Tennis Tournament and then the official Celebrity Pro-Am tournament, fantastic cocktail party, silent and live auctions, and awards ceremony.

Thanks to Mercedes-Benz South Bay, this year's event is going to be bigger and better than ever. Every person (21 years or older) who attends any or all of the day's events will receive a Nike Team Training Cinch Bag containing a Nike Tech Cap, Nike Dri-FIT Anklets and a pair of Nike Premier Wristbands ($50 value). The amateur winner (21 years old or over) of each flight of the Serve It Up Pro-Am will receive a 4-night and 5-day trip to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in Scottsdale, AZ where they will compete in the Mercedes-Benz Western Sectional. We will also raffle off two additional spots for the Western Sectional to the adult Serve It Up clinic participants. The winning team of the Mercedes-Benz Western Sectional will receive a VIP trip to the 2012 US Open in New York, including Mercedes-Benz Suite access to various matches and an exclusive “Behind the Scenes” tour of the National Tennis Center.

Covert Affairs' Sendhil Ramamurthy, Alan Thicke, Donna Mills and Cristian de la Fuente were among the celebrities who played in the 2010 event; and professional tennis players included Tracy Austin, Justin Gimelstob, Pam Shriver, Derek Rostagno, Chuck Adams, Bill Scanlon, and Anand Armitraj. Wayne Bryan, father of the popular Bryan Brothers tennis duo, emceed the day's festivities. The 2010 event raised more than $40,000 to support the Chapter's programs and services.

Chris and Mark Ojakian are raising money to find a cure for MS, a disease that affects their brother, sister and father. In addition to this tennis tournament, Mark will host a gala dinner in Connecticut in October. A message from Chris Ojakian (pdf).
