Lifestyle Education and Assessment Program

User Options:

The Marilyn Hilton MS Achievement Center at UCLA offers the Lifestyle Education and Assessment Program, or "LEAP," a new wellness assessment program designed to evaluate neurological and functional status for people with multiple sclerosis.

LEAP's goals:

  • assess each individual's unique needs
  • identify areas for potential improvement,
  • establish a plan for interventions that may be helpful to living well with MS

Both you and your physician will be provided with a comprehensive report based on our experts' findings. The program is designed to be accessible to residents of areas outside Greater Los Angeles, with all of the assessments taking place in a single half-day visit.

LEAP team of specialists

You will receive a one-on-one consultation with each of these specialists during your visit. Additionally, a representative from the Society will be available at the conclusion of the assessment to provide information about Chapter programs and services that may be of benefit to you.

Cost: The LEAP assessment is covered by some insurance plans at contracted rates and is also available as a fee-for-service program. For individuals with financial need, sliding-fee scale scholarships are available to help cover program costs.
