The Northern California Chapter of the National MS Society has been a leading advocate for people living with MS since 1954. We mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. Each year the chapter hosts its annual Walk MS and Bike MS: Waves to Wine fundraisers to help raise fund for cutting-edge research and vital programs and services for people living with MS.
Speaker's Bureau
Our chapter has long been a leader in the disability rights and neurological for many years. We have several experts on staff and on our Board who can speak on a variety of important topics affecting our clients as well as can connect media with real families living with MS who are impacted by the healthcare system. Topic areas include:
- health care reform, Medi-Cal
- issues affecting people with disabilities
- issues affecting chronic diseases and neurological disorders
- current research looking for treatments and a cure for MS
To request a speaker or an interview with an expert on one of these topics or someone who is impacted by these issues, please contact Jen Gawler, Communications Manager at 415-230-6678 x 73007.
