Services & Support Volunteers

Services & Support volunteers are our helping hands and compassionate voices for people living with MS in our local community. Volunteering for as a Services & Support volunteer is a great way to make a difference in the lives of Northern Californians living with MS.

Volunteer opportunities include spending time with people living with MS, ensuring the Chapter offers excellent referrals to clients, and providing emotional support.

Nursing Home Visitor:  Help provide a positive connection and ongoing emotional support to persons with advanced MS living in nursing homes. Volunteers are currently needed in San Francisco and Berkeley.

Resource Data Base Specialist:  Help our chapter offer excellent provider referrals to clients by gathering important information and updating our database. You must be able to volunteer in our San Francisco chapter office for this position. No previous date base experience is required.

Self-Help Group Leaders: Self-help groups bring people together who share a common life experience for support, education, and mutual aid.

Peer Support Volunteers: Are you living with MS?  Volunteer your time as a peer support volunteer by providing emotional support to others living with MS.
