Dear Friend,
I’ve been with the chapter for over 14 years and love what I do! Seeing our events grow from a few hundred to a few thousand participants has been exciting and challenging. As you can imagine, supporting the many fundraisers who participate in our events requires an army of volunteers.
What’s great about my job is getting to meet and utilize many different volunteers from all backgrounds; the high school and college students who help us at the event festival sites, rest stops and along the routes and younger children who cheer on our walkers and cyclists, as well as a dedicated group of volunteer captains who lead other volunteers. It takes hundreds of hours before an event to prepare and we could not do it all ourselves without the help of our dedicated office volunteers. We literally have something for everyone, all year long!
The best part of my job is meeting all of the wonderful people who support our mission and give of themselves so freely. It is truly awesome to have a career serving others and being part of something bigger than myself. I hope that even if you are already a fundraiser, that you’ll take another step to create a world free of MS and volunteer at any one of our events or either office location. For more information about volunteering, call me at (760) 448-8416 or email me.

April was a busy month for fundraising events at the chapter! Thanks to many of you who came out for Walk MS & the MS Golf Invitational.
And though we are still many months off from our fall events, we're already gearing up for Challenge Walk MS and Bike MS Bay to Bay Tour! These are two great events that will allow to take an even greater challenge and support the MS cause!

Include the chapter in your future. In addition to the satisfaction of making a planned gift, donors may be able to accomplish some financial goals such as increasing income, leveraging assets tax-free, controlling the charitable gift, and better serving heirs through estate planning. Learn more.

Research in MS is progressing at a remarkable rate, with more potential therapies in the pipeline than at any other time in history. The Society just funded $17.5 million in new research projects launched to stop MS, restore function, and end MS forever. Find out more.
