CALL FOR STORIES: Are You Having Trouble Securing Your Prescriptions?
We must work together to break down barriers for care; improve access to quality health services; and make MS therapies more affordable. As part of our advocacy efforts, we are looking for stories from people living with MS who have experienced unexpected increases in out-of-pocket costs for prescription drugs.
Send your story to Amanda Lasik with the following information:
When the increase occurred. Was it during the contract year (between open enrollment periods) with your health insurance plan or did it occur at the time of renewal of your insurance plan?
How much was the out of pocket cost increase? Did it double or triple?
If the increase occurred between open enrollment periods, how did you find out about the increase? Did the insurance company notify you or did you find out when you refilled your prescription at the pharmacy?
Splash in to the New Year With Aquatics!
Water provides a great arena for efficient cardiovascular conditioning, range of motion and working all joints without stress or strain. Water naturally relaxes the mind and reduces tension. Participant June G. says of her experience, "I enjoy the freedom of movement in the water and the buoyancy which helps me lift my legs higher than I otherwise can. Our gifted teacher keeps up moving and the company of the other participants acts like a support group of friends."
