Wellness Class Spotlight: Make a splash!
The chapter offers 24 wellness classes each week throughout the community. Our aqua class in Chula Vista is one example of a support group in the water by providing an opportunity for people living with MS to exercise and socialize in warm water while enjoying the exceptional benefits of aquatic therapy. The class also provides an alternative dry-land program when the weather gets too cold outside.
Join us Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-1pm at the Loma Verde Pool or find another class in your neighborhood. We ask that participants complete a waiver before their first session.
2011 Scholarship Applications Available
MS shouldn’t stand in the way of an education. That is why the National MS Society’s Chapter scholarship program exists to help highly qualified students who have been diagnosed with MS or who have a parent with MS achieve their dreams of going to college. 2011 applications are now available and will be accepted until January 14, 2011. Scholars will receive notice of award in the Spring. More information.
The chapter has offered scholarships since 2003 thanks to the generosity of Volunteers in MS (VIMS) and the Bob Webster Scholarship fund. We look forward to supporting aspiring students in their efforts to further their education.
