Designate your contribution to the National MS Society, Pacific South Coast Chapter and take advantage of easy giving through payroll deduction at your workplace. Just a small gift from each paycheck adds up to big support for people with MS. For the price of a few cups of coffee each week, your gift could help fund groundbreaking research, underwrite the cost of an employment program for people with MS, or fund a support group or provide respite care to a family in need. Sometimes you can even get your company to match your gift of giving or support the Society in other ways as well.
United Way
Most United Way campaigns will honor designations to any nonprofit (also known as a 501(c)(3) organization). If your workplace has a United Way campaign, you can write in a designation to the National MS Society, Pacific South Coast Chapter in the section set aside for designations to “other 501(c)(3) organizations.” See your workplace campaign coordinator for help. Public Sector
Federal employees can support the Society through the Combined Federal Campaign by selecting the designated code number, #63706, under the Community Health Charities Federation. Other Public Sector employees, such as state, county, school, etc., will also find our local listing numbers under Community Health Charities.
Matching Gifts
Matching gifts are a great way to maximize your support! You can often increase the value of your contribution to the Society through a corporate matching gifts program. Many corporations and businesses will match employee gifts to a qualifying nonprofit organization, with differing guidelines in each company (be sure to find out what they are at your employer).
To find out whether your company has a matching gifts program, contact your personnel office or corporate contributions officer. Your company representative can provide you with a matching gifts form, which must be completed and then sent to the chapter for processing.
If your employer has established an Employee Contributions Club that funds local grants, let us know. We will be happy to submit a grant request that will help support local people living with MS.
