As health care changes associated with the Affordable Care Act [Obamacare] are implemented, we want to ensure our constituents throughout Wyoming are well informed.
Healthcare changes will mainly impact individuals who currently do not have insurance or who buy their own insurance (and do not get insurance through their employer). If you have Medicare or insurance through work, you are not directly affected by Obamacare.
We encourage everyone to gather information and learn about the insurance options available sooner rather than later. Applying by December 15 will guarantee coverage starts by January 1; however there is not an immediate rush to apply – as websites become more operational and glitches get ironed out the best time to apply will be late November and early December.
