Poker Tournament Raises $25,000

The 5th Annual Turek Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament was held on Saturday, Nov. 15, and the event raised $25,000 to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter and residents throughout the state battling multiple sclerosis.

Wine Tasting Offers Economic Pass For Wine Connoisseurs And Their Favorite Dining Companions

wineHartford’s finest restaurants and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter are partnering to present the third annual MS Taste of Hope. The tasting event, featuring fine wine and sumptuous cuisine prepared by some of Connecticut’s most renowned chefs, will be held at The Society Room, located at 31 Pratt Street, Hartford on Thursday, Feb. 26, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Read more.

2009 Opportunity To Shop ‘Til You Drop

raffleThe National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter is hosting a raffle to be drawn on Friday, Feb. 13, with four prizes that include a $10,000 gift certificate and a getaway for two to New York with paid accommodations in Times Square. Tickets cost $10 each and there will be a total of four prize packages awarded. Purchase tickets today.

Twelve Walks. One Destination. A World Free Of MS.

The 2009 Travelers Walk MS, presented by Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, will take place at 12 sites in April with the goal of raising more than $1.3 million for MS research and programs. Cheshire resident Jenifer Walsh has been named the 2009 Connecticut spokesperson for the event. Walsh was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 12 years ago. Read more.

Raimondo Named 2008 Health Care Hero

raimondoSusan Raimondo, Senior Director of Advocacy and Programs for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter, has been honored for her more than 20 years of service advocating for those with multiple sclerosis and disabilities.
