The routes are completely supported by volunteers, relief vehicles, bicycle mechanics and rest stops. There is a party to celebrate cyclists’ and volunteers’ achievements at the conclusion of the ride. The Ride provides a chance for cyclists to form a bond not only with friends they are riding with, but also with other dedicated cyclists moving together to raise funds and awareness for a cure.
Note: Those riding in the 75 mile route must maintain an average pace of 12 mph.
We are pleased to welcome Olde Burnside Brewing Company to the 2012 Cardio Express Ride! The fine folks at Olde Burnside Brewing Co., home of Ten Penny Ale, will be there allowing you to sample a few of their fine brews!
Upon completion of the ride, cyclists will enjoy an afternoon at beautiful Riverside Park while savoring your BBQ lunch. Enjoy an extensive buffet, live music, and massage therapy all overlooking the Connecticut River.
Lunch & Live Music: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Massage Therapy: noon to 3 p.m.
Team Photos: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The safety of all of our Bike MS cyclists is the National MS Society’s primary concern.
Based on the collective consultation and feedback from national cycling organizations, event participants and Society staff, we have made the decision to require that Bike MS cyclists be age 12 or older (as of 9/9/12) to ride.
