FAQs

What should I bring?

  • Wear comfortable clothing, including sneakers or closed toed shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen, depending on the weather
  • Proper clothing in case of bad weather
  • Insect repellent

When should I arrive?
You should arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled volunteer shift. This will ensure enough time to park, check in and locate your volunteer station.

Where do I go when I arrive to volunteer?
When you arrive at your walk site, go directly to the Volunteer Check-In table. Please sign in, receive your volunteer t-shirt, lunch band and location of where you will be volunteering for the event.

What if it rains?
Walk MS is a rain or shine event. Our walkers depend on our volunteers to ensure that the day runs smoothly. Please dress appropriately if there is a chance for rain. Remember to bring a rain poncho and umbrella, as well as a change of shoes and socks.

Will I be able to eat?
Each volunteer will receive a lunch wristband at volunteer check-in. We ask that you assure that another volunteer is covering your position while you eat lunch.
