Teen Support

The Chapter offers recreational and educational programs that provide opportunities for the kids to interact with other kids who have parents with MS.

Teen Support includes:

The Chapter previously hosted Teen Talk, a discussion and activity group for teens 13 to 18 years old, who have a parent with MS. If interested in future meetings, please contact Emily.Smith@nmss.org or 202-296-5363, option 2.

Here’s what past participants have said about our teen programming:

“A place where you can talk freely and learn about MS and how to deal with it.”

“Good food!”

“I made new friends.”

“I learned that I am not the only one who deals with the effects and difficulties of MS.”

“The group is fun and helped me learn a lot about MS and myself.”

“I learned that I am myself no matter where I go.”

“This group provides a great opportunity to express yourself.”

“It’s a place where you don’t have to restrain your thoughts.”
