Life with MS impacts everyone in the family.
That’s why the Chapter offers individualized, age-appropriate education and support for every member of the family.
Such support can include:
• Care management to help locate and coordinate community resources and benefits for individuals and families facing numerous challenges from MS
• Caregiver Support and Resources
• Children’s Fund to help pay for children’s age-appropriate activities, such as summer camp, music lessons, or college books
• Counseling for parents and/or children
• Family Fun Days (Visit our programs calendar to find upcoming dates)
• Family meetings at home
• Friendly Visitors, a program that matches volunteers with nursing home residents who have MS
• Keep S’myelin, a newsletter for children who have a parent or other relative living with MS
• Kidventure, a recreation and education program for children, ages 7-17, who have a parent with MS (Visit our programs calendar to find upcoming Kidventure dates)
• Scholarships for people living with MS and children of people with MS
• Teen Talk, a discussion and activity group for teens who have a parent with MS (Visit our programs calendar to find upcoming dates)
