The National Capital Chapter is always looking for volunteers with a variety of skills. Below are some of the many specific roles we are currently looking to fill.

Summer volunteers are needed to help evaluate the Chapter's financial assistance programs. Volunteers should be comfortable on the phone and using computers. We're looking for a minimum commitment of 4-8 hours a week between the hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Email Emily.Smith@nmss.org or Julie.Vallelunga@nmss.org.
Do you like the idea of volunteering in a cool office out of the heat? Do you pay attention to detail? Are you comfortable placing calls to healthcare providers and social service organizations? Then this is a job for you! We're looking for volunteers this summer to assist us with updating our Service Provider database. We'd prefer a minimum commitment of 2 hours a week between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. but we're flexible. Email Kelly.Schrader@nmss.org.

Are you a health care professional or do you know someone who is? We're looking for volunteer health care professionals to help us do outreach in rural Fauquier County, Va. Read the complete job description, or pass this on to someone who might be interested.
Are you a people person? Do you love educating people about MS? Are you looking for a new way to get involved with the National MS Society?
If you answered yes to at least one of these questions, you may be a great fit for the National Capital Chapter's Community Representative Program. Community Representatives attend various workplace giving and health fairs in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia to speak with the public about MS and the work of the National MS Society.
