It can be difficult to hear the words “you have MS” for the first time. There are many challenges, but there are also many supportive options available to help you.
Caring for someone with MS - Care Partner
Taking care of someone with MS can strengthen the bonds of love, but it can also be physically and emotionally draining. As a care partner, it’s also important to take the time to pay attention to your own needs, which benefits everyone.
Wellness - How to live well with MS
There are many opportunities to live well with MS and maintain a quality lifestyle and one key way is to exercise. The benefits of exercise are numerous, and today there are many classes and wellness activities that are adaptable to differing levels of ability. The Mid Florida Chapter of the National MS Society offers a variety of fun, challenging and interesting exercise options.
Employment - Yes, you have rights. We can help you ‘explain’ your needs to your employer
Employment is often a high concern when dealing with the unpredictably of MS symptoms. The National MS Society has beneficial information regarding disclosure, knowing your rights, and workplace decisions, legal perspectives, education programs and links to career resources.
