Important Updates for this Weekend's Walk MS in Jacksonville and St. Augustine
The National MS Society's thoughts and sympathies are with all of the individuals and families affected by the tragic events surrounding the Boston Marathon. We want to thank all of the first responders and community members who have helped everyone impacted by unfortunate events in Boston and are continuing to do so. We want to assure our participants here in Jacksonville and St. Augustine on Saturday April 20th that safety remains our top priority and a comprehensive safety plan is in place at all Society events. We intend to host Walk MS and will also be taking extra measures for upcoming events across the country including our event here. We are currently working with local authorities to determine what extra safety precautions are recommended.
Due to Saturday's One Spark festival in downtown Jacksonville, we've posted traffic and road closure information provided by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office:

Don't forget - we walk rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, event staff will direct participants to shelter.
Walk MS is the rallying point of the MS movement, a community coming together to raise funds and celebrate hope for the future. Join us next spring at one of our six Walk MS locations in the North Florida area as we walk and raise money to fund cutting-edge MS research, life-changing programs and services, and policy-sculpting advocacy efforts. The contributions of your time and money will help create a world free of MS!
