The South Florida Chapter is pleased to provide online tools for DIY (Do It Yourself) fundraisers and share information about upcoming fundraising events offered by other people and organizations benefiting the National MS Society. However, the Chapter does not sponsor these events and has no role in developing content.

Danielle runs the Sahara for MS
On Sunday, April 7th Danielle Furey, a mother of four, an attorney and a person with MS, began the Marathon des Sables, a 156 mile, six day stage race across the Sahara Desert during which each participant is required to carry everything needed for their survival. Danielle says, “I believe that we are endowed with certain burdens and certain gifts and that ultimately we must find a way to use our gifts to overcome our burdens. One of the burdens that I must bear is MS but my love of running is the gift that I will use to triumph over MS.
Danielle is competing in what has been described as the toughest footrace on the planet and raising awareness and funds to find a cure and ultimately an end to MS.
