Join the movement by making sure the National Multiple Sclerosis Society has the funds it needs to create a world free of MS. An easy way to make a contribution is by participating in a payroll deduction campaign at your workplace. Check to see if the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is listed as one of the options in your plan. Gifts made through workplace payroll deduction campaigns directly support the local needs of thousands living with MS in your community and research efforts to find a cure. Remember, there is only one National Multiple Sclerosis Society and your campaign may have many choices as to whom you can donate funds in support of the MS cause. Not all multiple sclerosis organizations are the same.
Federal employees can support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through the Combined Federal Campaign by selecting the designated code number, #0549, under the Community Health Charities Federation. Other Public Sector employees, such as state, county, school, etc., will also find our local listing numbers under Community Health Charities. Starting in the fall of 2007, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's new designation code will be #11409.
If you work in the private sector. . .
Your company may have an individual corporate gift program or participate through the Community Health Charities Federation or United Way. In most areas we do not participate in the United Way, but you may ask if you can designate your gift to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through the Donor Designation Program.
Don't forget to ask your company to match you. . .
Does your employer have a matching gift fund? If so, be sure to speak with them about matching your gift to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. If your employer has established an Employee Contributions Club that funds local grants, let us know. We will be happy to submit a grant request that will help support the local MS clients. All gifts made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through workplace giving are tax deductible. For additional information, please call 1-800-344-4867.
