Connecting with Others

Connecting with others with similar life experiences can be powerful for positive personal change.  The National MS Society has many ways that you can connect with others living with similar life experiences with MS.  You can choose from one-on-one conversations or group / social settings.

Regardless of your experience with MS, trained peer support volunteers can provide you with the emotional support and resources you may be seeking.

Benefits of participating in a connection program include:

  • Learning new information and strategies for managing your MS
  • Finding support from others
  • The opportunity to help others
  • New power and confidence in facing the challenges of living with MS

Connection programs are available in a variety of formats including:

Connection programs are based on the belief that positive personal change happens through individual efforts with the support of others.

The Society recognizes the valuable role these programs play in addressing the informational, emotional and social support needs of people living with MS. For more information contact an MS Navigator at 1-800-344-4867.
