Join the MS Action Network, the center for advocacy at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Together, we represent the interests of people with MS as important policy decisions are made in both the public and private sectors. Our advocacy is focused on: federal funding for MS research; quality health care; long-term care; disability rights; and health insurance and prescription drug coverage. The MS Action Network works on these important issues at the federal, state and local levels.
The mission of the MS Society is to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. Advocacy is an important mission element. There are many public policies and programs that greatly influence the health, health care, health insurance, and well being of people with MS. People with MS expect that the National MS Society will represent their interests as important public policy matters are considered and decisions are made. The chapters and the home office share this responsibility. The best part about our advocacy work is that results are leveraged, and this means that every single advocacy success benefits many people with MS and perhaps many more people with chronic illnesses or disabilities.
The Indiana Chapter needs people with MS and their friends and family members to advocate on behalf of people with multiple sclerosis and those who care for them. There are many public policy issues at the federal, state and local levels that significantly affect people with MS. The Action Alert Network plays a very important role in achieving our advocacy goals. Membership on the Action Alert Network means you are interested and willing to respond to periodic requests for action on important public policy issues. Join the Action Alert Network today!
