An easy way to make a gift to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is through participation in a workplace programs or campaigns. Gifts made through workplace giving programs directly support the local needs of thousands living with MS in your community and research efforts to find a cure.
If you work in the public sector….
Federal employees can support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through the Combined Federal Campaign by selecting the designated code number under the Community Health Charities Federation. The CFC Code is 46003 if you are participating from any of the following areas: South Central (Witchita), Heartland (Greater Kansas City area) and St. Joseph, MO. The Heart of the Midlands and the Lincoln/Lancaster County codes for CFC are also 46003. Other Public Sector employees (state, county, school, etc.) will also find our local listing numbers under Community Health Charities.*
If you work in the private sector…
Your company may have an individual corporate gift program or participate through the Community Health Charities Federation or United Way. Although we are not affiliated with the United Way, you may still designate your gift to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through the Donor Designation Program.*
In Nebraska, NMSS is a member of Community Health Charities statewide. In Omaha and Lincoln CHC-NE has a contractual relationship with the United Way. A gift to the United Way is also a gift to CHC-NE and NMSS. In greater Nebraska (all areas outside Omaha and Lincoln) CHC-NE campaigns independently. You are encouraged to designate your gift.
Does your employer have a matching gift fund?
If YES, please obtain the workplace form for matching gifts from your personnel office, fill out and submit to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. If your employer has established an Employee Contributions Club that funds local grants, let us know. All gifts made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society through workplace giving are tax deductible. For additional information, please call our office at 1-800-344-4867.
*If your interest is supporting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, make sure to designate the correct option. Not all multiple sclerosis organizations are the same. There is only one National Multiple Sclerosis Society and your workplace campaigns may have other MS causes to designate gifts.
