Congratulations Mission Possible 2009!
The Mission Possible club celebrates our fundraisers who have raised $14,000 or more in 2009. This represents $1 for each person with MS that we supported in 2009. In 2010, we will be increasing the number to $19,000 raised to represent the addition of the 5,000 people in Maine and Vermont with MS. These fundraisers certainly have gone above and beyond to reach this level. They truly exemplify a tremendous commitment to helping those with MS. Join us in congratulating them!

Bike MS Champions
Volunteer to Become a 2010 Champion Against MS!
Every year, hundreds of thousands of event participants and people living with MS come together to walk, ride and fundraise to work towards ending the devastating effects of MS. Champions Against MS strives to connect people with MS and event participants to foster education, gratitude, and most importantly, hope, through the symbol of an inspiring bandana.
Both of you are Champions in our eyes. During Bike MS, the event participants wear a bandana signed by a person with multiple sclerosis. The paired Champions are encouraged to connect before, during or after the event. As a person with MS and a Champion, you are adding depth to an event participant’s experience, by increasing awareness of our mission, and serving as a critical part in the fight against MS. You are providing your Champion with hope, inspiration and encouragement. Your Champion may be able to do the same for you!
Cyclists can sign up to be an Event Champion during the event registration process. Persons with MS can sign up to be an MS Champion online at bikeMSgne.org. To become a Bike MS Champion, you must be:
- A person with MS
- Willing to share your personal experiences with a Bike MS cyclist who rides in your honor
- Willing to share your contact information (either address, phone number or email) so that your Champion may contact you
To sign up, please visit our website at bikeMSmass.org or call Harriet at 781-693-5111.

Bring Stability & Hope
The average annual cost of MS is estimated at more than $69,000. Needs have increased and more families with MS are struggling to make ends meet. Although the number of individuals and families petitioning the Society for assistance has increased, Chapter funds have not. Your support is critical to help families find stability in the face of MS. By supporting the Greater New England Chapter, you can help us address the challenges faced by the more than 19,000 people living with MS in our geographic area. To make a gift visit www.msnewengland.org, call Jonathan Nierman at 781.693.5150, or mail a check payable to the National MS Society to:
