Maryland Advocacy Day- Your story is powerful and your words do make a difference. Each year, men and women living with MS from across the state gather in Annapolis to educate legislators about MS and ask them to support measures that will benefit people living with MS.
Let your Voice be heard: Share your SSDI/Medicare 24-month wait period story- After an individual qualifies for the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program, they are eligible for Medicare benefits but must wait twenty-four months before they can use this insurance. Since the waiting period for SSDI approval is typically five months, this makes a person’s total wait time for health insurance at least twenty-nine months!
