Join us Thursday, February 27 for Maryland Action Day 2014!
Join the Movement. Create Change. Be an Activist.
On Maryland Action Day we will speak to the legislators who represent us and ask them to support legislation that is beneficial to people with MS.
Maryland Advocacy Day activities are designed to draw attention to the National MS Society’s priority issues in Maryland including:
- Stem Cell Research Funding
- Coverage and reimbursement for non-emergency telemedicine services
- Protecting in-home and community supports
On February 27, participants will receive specific issue preparation including education and talking points to share with their legislator (various state representatives will be present to speak to the crowd regarding the specific legislation). After this portion of the program, participants will visit with their legislator, which will be followed by a general wrap-up session. A continental breakfast and boxed lunch will be served.
