Leadership volunteers help the chapter design and implement its programs and fundraising events. The committees listed below are comprised of staff and volunteers who share a passion in creating a world free of MS. Sign up today to join a leadership committee! - The Events Committees help organize and develop the chapter’s fundraising events, like Walk MS, Bike MS, and Challenge Walk MS. Committee members may coordinate event logistics, secure sponsorship or mentor participants.
- The Chapter Programs Committee works with chapter staff to develop, execute and evaluate programs and services. Members of the CPC, include consumers and health care and community professionals, make recommendations based on their knowledge of MS, the clients served by the chapter, and the chapter’s resources.
- The Government Relations Committee works with chapter staff to develop and implement advocacy efforts around the identified state priorities. Members of the GRC help keep advocacy efforts moving forward throughout the year.
- The Clinical Advisory Committee is a group of neurologists, nurses, and other health care professionals who oversee the chapter’s medically related programs and advise on topics relating to the clinical care of people with MS. CAC members also act as chapter spokespersons on medical topics.
- The Young Adults Advisory Council is a group of passionate, fun-loving individuals who help organize and implement networking and educational activities for young adults affected by MS in their 20’s and 30’s who are affected by MS.
