The National MS Society seeks an event coordinator to work within the special events department. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all Walk MS sites. Oversee general planning and logistics for each site.
    • Update coordinator handbooks, coordinate marketing efforts, plan summit training.
  • Assist with the logistical aspects of Bike MS rides, Walks, Muckruckus MS and other events.
    • Help secure permits, assist with truck lists, coordinate event signage, supervise volunteers, assist with check-ins.
  • Secure in-kind sponsors.
    • Recruit food and other in kind donations, build database of contacts, devlelop and negotiate contracts.
  • Provide customer service to participants.
    • Keep current on all event details, assist with all aspects of communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A bachelors degree preferred with two years fundraising, project management or business development experience in a non-profit setting.
