The Upper Midwest Chapter is seeking a program manager based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This position is responsible for building and supporting a robust and effective network of clubs and groups across the state of South Dakota.
Responsibilities:

Support existing clubs and groups and ensure the development of new clubs and groups.

Identify geographical areas and target populations in need of additional clubs and groups.

Develop new and innovative groups to respond to identified needs, including recruitment of group leaders and ensuring that venues meet accessibility standards.

Collaborate with group leaders and other community volunteers to provide educational and social programs through clubs and groups.

Assist with the promotion of clubs and groups, including the use of social media tools. Ensure that each group is visited a minimum of once a year by self and/or the area coordinator serving the group.

Assist supervisor with monitoring the budget for South Dakota clubs and groups.

Manage program risks and quality assurance areas, including evaluating and mitigating risks in cooperation with community facilities hosting clubs and groups.

Work with club and group leaders/members to further their capacity to participate in chapter advocacy efforts.

Manage field support volunteers to ensure the growth and effectiveness of clubs and groups.

Support client education and therapeutic recreation programs in South Dakota.

Assist with program site review and accessibility checks as requested by director of programs and therapeutic recreation coordinator.

Assist programs and marketing colleagues with promoting local programs and volunteer opportunities.

Provide program content ideas and speaker recommendations.

Implement client education programs as requested by director of programs.

Work collaboratively with other chapter staff to ensure a cohesive relationship between the chapter and clinical partners in South Dakota.

Assist in cultivating strong relationships and elevate the chapter’s agenda with health care providers.

Serve as a member of the staff clinical partnership team, with a special focus on clinical partners in South Dakota.

Assist as needed to plan, develop, and implement programming for health care professionals.
Qualifications:
BA or BS in social services/social work or related field with two to four years of experience in social services/social work including program development and implementation. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines and goals, negotiate, and manage budgets. Must be able to work both independently and be a team player. Must be flexible and creative in responding to changes and evolving needs of chapter and clients. General computer skills required, social media experience preferred. Knowledge in the areas of program development, implementation and evaluation, community resources, and customer service required.
