Billy McLaughlin |
The 2012 On the Move Luncheon will feature Billy McLaughlin, an internationally recognized guitarist, composer and inspirational performer. He’s the recipient of three National Campus Entertainer of the Year Awards*, five Minnesota Music Awards and the Hall of Fame Achievement Award*.
In 1999, McLaughlin watched his career crumble due to a little-known neuromuscular disorder called focal dystonia. After suffering several years, he made a remarkable comeback by re-learning his instrument left-handed. Now an awareness ambassador for the disease, McLaughlin won the 2010 Public Leadership in Neurology Award**.
