Teens can make a difference!
The National MS Society, Upper Midwest Chapter offers a number of ways for teens affected by MS to get involved. From teen networking events to MS Youth Camp to teen-led Walk MS teams, the Chapter has many opportunities for youth ages 13-18 who want to attend programs, participate in fundraising events or volunteer.
If you or your teen would like more information about these opportunities and more, please contact Krista Harding at 612-335-7937 or krista.harding@nmss.org. Teens can also request to be a part of the “National MS Society, Upper Midwest Chapter Teen Connection” Facebook group to receive regular updates about teen-friendly, chapter-sponsored events.

Programs for teens who have a loved one with MS, or who have MS
Teen Council
Teen Council is a group of 13- to 18-year olds who are related to a person with MS and are interested in raising awareness about MS. Teen Council members meet regularly throughout the year to build leadership skills, form relationships with other teens in similar circumstances and act as consultants to chapter staff planning teen programs. Teen Council is also a fantastic accomplishment to include on college applications or on resumes for employment.
Youth Camp
Youth Camp is for kids grades four through 12 who have a parent or live with a person who has MS. At this weeklong camp in western Wisconsin, campers build friendships, share great experiences and enjoy educational and recreational activities at the wonderful island campsite of Camp Icaghowan in western Wisconsin.
