Contact Governor Dayton about the shutdown

Reach out to Governor Dayton and ask him to come to fair and balanced budget solution to avoid shutdown.

Call the Governor at 651-201-3400:

Thanks for vetoing the Health and Human Services funding bill and protecting people with disabilities and their families from drastic budget cuts. I urge you to compromise with your colleagues and come to a budget agreement that is fair and does not put the most vulnerable at even greater risk.

Email the Governor:

I am writing because I want you to understand how the state budget affects Minnesotans with real needs.

I live with multiple sclerosis. I didn't ask to have MS, but I am forced to live with it. Fortunately, I am able to live as independently as possible with help from state-funded programs and services. If the shutdown happens, I may not be able to use these services I depend on.

I urge you to compromise with your colleagues and come to a budget agreement that is fair and does not put the most vulnerable at even greater risk.

I know you have a big job on your hands, but please remember that our fellow Minnesotans who need public transportation, caregiving, medical and other services have little or no alternatives. These services allow for a quality of life and dignity that represents the best of our state. Please, let's not jeopardize that.
